“Max’s strength are his calm and composure, two important characteristics for the goalkeepers. He is very reactive, solid in every fundamental, confident also with the feet. He is a reliable goalkeeper with a great training attitude”.
Max Pfaffman developed through the Met Oval academy before moving to NYCFC, ultimately returning to Met Oval in 2022 to anchor the U19 side. He delivered an excellent season marked by reliability and consistency, which earned him a commitment to St. John’s University. Max later transferred to Brown University, where he secured the role of starting goalkeeper.
Standing 6’2″, Max is a solid shot-stopper whose game is defined by calmness and composure. He is reactive, acrobatic, and handles pressure with maturity beyond his age. His steady presence and consistent performances make him a dependable modern goalkeeper with strong upward potential.
