John DiStefano joined Met Oval in 2020 and quickly earned a spot on the MLS NEXT U14 roster, showcasing strong performances and exceptional shot-stopping ability. After two impactful seasons, he moved to NYCFC before returning to Met Oval in 2023, where he continued his progression and ultimately committed to Wake Forest University, one of the premier college soccer programs in the nation.
John brings a solid and assured presence in goal, marked by bravery on high balls, excellent 1v1 technique and timing, and consistently reliable shot-stopping. His confidence, competitive mentality, and technical sharpness make him a high-upside goalkeeper with strong collegiate potential.
