“I worked with Grant at the very beginning of his journey as a goalkeeper. His tremendous athleticism and work ethic have always impressed me. I remember that the first time he had the opportunity to play consistently with Met Oval was during a tournament in Portugal. He performed so well that, once back in New York, he started all the remaining games of the season.”
Grant Leveille joined Met Oval in the summer of 2021, joining the U14 team. During his first season, he played mostly with the NAL (Tier 2) team. His potential was always evident, but his technique was still raw, and it took him some time to become familiar with Met Oval’s style of play. He began the following season competing for an MLS Next spot and was finally able to shine during the 2023 Iber Cup in Portugal, where he finished the tournament without conceding a single goal.
After the tournament, he started all the remaining games of the season, catching the attention of the New York Red Bulls, who signed him for the following season. Now at D.C. United, Grant is also part of the Haiti National Team. Great athleticism, confidence on high balls, and long-range kicking are, in my opinion, his main strengths.
