“Cyrus is a very talented and resilient goalkeeper with a terrific technique. He always impressed me with his quickness and reaction. He showed a great desire of becoming a professional player, he moved to Greece and then to Kosovo to pursue his dream”.
Cyrus Margono joined Met Oval in 2018 and spent two formative years at the academy before moving on to college soccer, first at the University of Denver and later the University of Kentucky. During the COVID-19 period, he committed to intensive individual training, sharpening his technique and preparing for the professional level.
His work paid off when he signed with Panathinaikos in Greece, where he spent three seasons developing in a top European environment. He most recently competed in the Kosovo Superleague with KF Dukagjini.
Cyrus is a modern, highly technical goalkeeper with terrific technique, quick footwork, and exceptionally clean handling. He is reactive, acrobatic, and confident in short and long distribution, bringing reliability and quality to every phase of play.
